With organization, research, and good storytelling as some of my absolute favorite things, it’s no surprise that I ended up with a career that spans more than 20 years in journalism and communications.
As a journalist at heart, it is my mission to get to the heart of a matter, find the truth, tell that story, and share what I learn. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to daily broadcasts at an award-winning news organization, take on projects that led to the growth of a church's ministry during the pandemic, and collaborate with writers and businesses as they launch noteworthy ventures.
These days, I write, serve as a communications consultant for the business my husband runs, and homeschool our three kids.

Claresa Smith started her career delivering news to the community surrounding Winston-Salem State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications. She went on to work for Clear Channel Radio and WYFF News 4 before serving in church communications and content marketing.
Nowadays, she serves as a communications consultant for Podium Studios, a podcasting and video production agency her husband runs in the Atlanta area.
Claresa also enjoys writing and speaking about God's redemptive story and it's impact on our lives whenever she can. She operates with a belief that, by the grace of God, His redemptive work and stories told in His inspired word can inspire us to live and work with excellence. She believes that understanding what the Bible says and how to apply its principles helps us grow in our faith, live well, and discover the beauty around us.
